Week In Review
A look at the things, places, people, ideas and news that caught our eye this week. Travel, learn, be inspired….or simply be entertained.
USA Today wrote this week that the Riviera Nayarit may very well be the next “Cancun” of Mexico: The article below gives a good primer on our region but of course doesn’t divulge all our insider secrets. You’ll need to get a little further off the path than USA today to find us…but we’re completely fine with that. It’s great to see the world learning about our region and paradise!
We’re huge fans of the hammock. Enjoying a great read beachside, or drifting off for an afternoon nap under the palm trees…ahh…it doesn’t get much better. It looks like this group is taking it one further. A hammock festival in the alps. Well worth a look!
From the short, 15 minute film, “Diamond of the Desert” A group of surfers travel to an African desert in search of the perfect wave. I think they found it…..
Another stunning piece from the New York Times Travel section using their dynamic single page scoll layout. A writer travels North to find his roots. I don’t think we’re ever going to tire of this format and look forward to what else they have in store. If you haven’t seen this style before, check out their award wining piece, “Snow Fall – The Avalance at Tunnel Creek”
And finally, a look at the destruction to our neighbors up north. This is the second hurricane we dodged this year, Baja wasn’t quite as lucky. Here’s to a quick and speedy recovery!
See you next week!
