A 2 hour boat ride out of San Blas gives you access to an epic bird island adventure.  Tens of thousands of local frigate birds have claimed Isla Isabel as their home.  In addition to an insane amount of birds, the volcanic island boats fabulous snorkeling and scuba.  It’s also a hotbed for some of the Riviera Nayarit’s biggest Rooster Fish.  A trip to Isla Isabel isn’t for the feint of heart.  An overnight stay is recommended and the accommodations are only a step up from camping.  Those looking to add a little adventure to their trip will absolutely find it worthwhile.
